What are some good workouts to get into shape as an already “overweight” woman who is now pregnant?

I am a young woman who is “over weight” and I would like to get into shape but I dont want to hurt myself in the process. Could you tell me som excersizes that are safe for me and my developing baby?

    Walk, swim, ride a bike. All easy on the body and joints.

    Doctor is best. Walking daily and eating healthy is your best bet.

    Hi, actually, my friend was pregnant not too long ago and she’s run two miles a day on her treadmill until the baby was born, and then she took a break. (she’s started up again) But, from seeing that the baby turned out happy and healthy, I would say you can do anything, but not anything that’ll hurt you or going to excess. Just be careful with it and everything should go great! Good luck (and for ideas, look @ other questions and I see you’ve already got some good answers so good luck again!)!!
